Staying here was an absolute delight! the housekeeping was top, notch, making sure our room was always tidy and comfy. We loved the convenience of the laundry facilities on, site, allowing us to pack light. the ski pass vendor right at the hotel made getting on the slopes a breeze. the staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic stay. the restaurant served delicious meals, with a variety of options to cater to different tastes. the hot spring bath was a true oasis of relaxation, especially the open, air bath with stunning views of the ski area.
One thing that could be improved is the wifi, as it was a bit slow in certain areas of the hotel. more English TV channels would be a nice touch for international guests.

The ski slopes were amazing! Ready to start straight from the hotel's lockers. Great variety of slopes, with wonderful powdery snow. the staff was helpful, friendly and accommodating, always available to help. the views from our room were breathtaking, and made our experience so much better.
There wasn't much else to do here, other than ski. There wasn't much variety when it came to the hotel facilities, and the onsen was pretty underwhelming.

I had an amazing experience staying at this luxurious hotel. The location was perfect, right at the ski slope, allowing me to easily access the ski lifts and enjoy the beautiful mountain views. The staff provided top-notch service, from helping me book ski lessons to arranging transportation. They were quick to respond and incredibly helpful. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, with quality amenities that added to the comfort of my stay. I also appreciated the on-site facilities, such as the hot spring bath and massage services, which provided a relaxing way to unwind after a day on the slopes.
I highly recommend this place to others.

Loved the stunning view from the room and the helpful and friendly staff. We enjoyed the Japanese food served, which was delicious. The hotel is in a perfect location for ski enthusiasts as the lift and gondolas are just outside. The ski rental shop on site is convenient with overnight lockers, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable with a sofa bed that can accommodate a third person.
The worst aspect was the limited dining options. The food served was average and felt more catered towards tour groups than individual guests.

During our ski trip, we stayed in a hotel located in a breathtaking mountain setting with immediate access to ski slopes from the locker room. the spacious room was clean and cozy, with modern amenities. the on, site Onsen was a must, have after long skiing hours. We enjoyed the buffet, although we wished it had a more comfortable seating arrangement. the kinda, club, like eating area lacked a proper apres, post, ski bar/cafe. the staff went beyond expectations by helping us arrange ski lessons and transportation to and from the hotel.
The hotel lacked alternative dining options.

The hotel is conveniently located just a one-minute walk from the gondola, making it easy to access the slopes. The newly renovated facilities are clean and modern, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The spacious rooms provided a comfortable and relaxing stay. The dinner buffet was a major highlight, offering a variety of delicious dishes. Additionally, the included 2x lift tickets, breakfast, and dinner made this stay an excellent value for money. Despite a few minor drawbacks, such as a lack of apres-ski activities and a mediocre onsen, the overall experience at Rockwood Hotel & Spa was exceptional. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
